15 MERITS is a communication agency specialized in the management of e-reputation. Our clients include brands, companies, celebrities and government institutions.


15 MERITS is part of the Somme Group, which includes more than a dozen companies of various sizes and business sectors and employs more than 2,000 collaborators.


15 MERITS opens its subsidiary in Mauritius and is looking for several communication officers to form its first Mauritian team. Embark today on this exciting adventure!


JOB DESCRIPTION


The communication officer learns, applies and develops communication techniques to achieve the objectives set by one of the company's departments.


The communication officer must be fluent in English (style, spelling, grammar) and have a very good writing ability. Indeed, the basic mission of the communication officer is to create editorial content in English.


The basic work of the communication officer is the writing of content:

* Websites articles

* Articles for the written press

* Press releases

* Video scripts

* Corporate documents

* Internal communication

* Product pages

* Emails, newsletters, forum topics, directory listings, etc.


And according to the skills of the communication officer and the needs of the company, a specialisation in the following areas is possible:* Writing* Reporter / Journalist*Public Relations* Customer relationship* Social networks* Events* Videos / Podcasts* Infographics* Research & Development* Information monitoring* Quality control


QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIRED


Three essential qualities are required for the position of communication officer:

1. Good relational contact

2. Listening skills

3. Versatility

The communication officer must hold a BAC+2 (or equivalent) minimum in a communication or literary field.


POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENTS


The communication officer can first of all evolve horizontally towards one of the different specialization teams mentioned above. He can also progress vertically to the position of communication team leader where he will have to supervise a multidisciplinary team of 5 to 10 people. The position of team leader leads naturally to the position of Communication Manager.
