Description de l'emploi

Role

The Career Development Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Career Development Centre.

Reporting

The Career Development Assistant will report to the Administrative & HR Coordinator.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in the administration of a range of assessments (both online and paper based)
  • Calculate scores and results of paper based questionnaires
  • Prepare job portfolios for clients
  • Create electronic files for each client and file in all documents pertaining to their career development
  • Update clients’ files as and when required
  • Schedule appointments with clients (face to face, skype or whatsapp) for the career counsellor
  • Manage and update on a regular basis clients’ career development plan
  • Conduct basic research on labour market information (LMI) and update our LMI accordingly
  • Assist management in the planning and scheduling of presentations at secondary colleges, higher education institutions and other prospects
  • Assist management in promoting the services of the Career Development entre
  • Maintain and update the database of clients
  • Attend on a regular basis career events held by stakeholders
  • Generate Vacancy Analysis Rate (VAR) on a daily basis
  • Match career opportunities with candidates’ portfolio using our Job Fit Calculator
  • Assist management in the dissemination of useful information on career development through mass emailing campaigns, newsletters and white papers
  • Assist the recruitment officer for services related to corporate recruitment
  • Assist in the promotion and delivery of our Career Development Programme (CDP)
  • Maintain and update a list of professional associations in Mauritius
  • Build and maintain rapport with various stakeholders

Exigences de l'emploi

Knowledge

  • A degree in human resource management, business management or psychology from a recognized university

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail with solid customer service skills
  • Ability to keep confidentiality in all HR matters
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Research skills

The employee shall demonstrate a positive attitude at work towards management, co-workers, clients, learners and other stakeholders.
