Research Assistant

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about soft skills and strongly motivated

to meet the challenge of setting up the World’s first Soft Skills Research Centre.

The primary role of the research assistant is to conduct research in the field of soft skills and

its applications in the workplace.

The candidate is expected to have a good knowledge of :

• The Mauritian Economy
• Various online survey tools
• Local, regional and funding agencies : The TVET sector, Various Government agencies

such as the EDB, MQA, HRDC, TEC, SME Mauritius Ltd, MRC, International agencies

• such as World Bank, UNESCO, ILO, SADC, COMESA, ADB, AFD, WEF

• Excellent questioning skills
• Providing timely feedback
• Report and proposal writing
• Excellent presentation skills
• Opportunity seeking
• Excellent writing skills (English & French)
• Research skills
• Analytical skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Mastery of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS)
